Mom of 6, painting to express thankfulness
Hi I'm Sara, Little Lu Beginnings started in 2017, after having our 6th child. My life almost ended as hers was just beginning, but instead my life was spared not once but twice in the 72 hours surrounding her birth. I felt like I was given a new beginning! Gratefulness for the little things in life, and the awareness that life is short, led me to painting and creating again! The items you see here are an extension of myself and created to inspire imagination!
Since then I've painted thousands of peg dolls, horses, and trucks for so many amazing customers! We've also started designing and making our own wooden vehicles and animals for peg doll riders. Trucks, cars, and animals with holes for peg riders are all hand-cut at our home by our family.
My passion is geared towards making pegs and story props that go along with picture books and chapter books. Making our book friends come to life for hours of play has transformed our learning, and my hope is that they will inspire your family too!
